Meet Our Oakleigh Team

Tina Keown

Tina is the Managing Director of The Victorian Tennis Academy and has worked in the tennis industry for 22 years, working with VTA for 18 of those. She brings international experience as a player and coach. Tina is a TA Club Professional Coach, LTA Performance Coach and holds a National Diploma in Sport with Business Management. Tina is head of coaching and program delivery at Oakleigh Tennis Club

Kelvin MacLean

High Performance Coach
Kelvin is a former Professional Tennis Player, reaching a career high world ranking of 434. He is an internationally renowned high performance coach with USPTA, USPTR Elite Coaching qualifications as well as being a Tennis Australia coach member and Club Professional Coach. With 37 years of coaching experience with ATP, WTA, and ITF junior players, Kelvin has worked with elite professional players such as Li Na, former Australia Open Champion. Kelvin gives lessons with a purpose to get you the best results, he focuses on transitioning your game through technical development which is sure to enhance your overall game.

James Bruce-Smith

Junior Convenor
James is an ‘A’ grade tennis player and tennis enthusiast. He is a TA Junior Development Coach with 5 years coaching experience and has a certificate 4 in fitness training. James joined VTA Oakleigh in 2019 and his vision is to be a career coach who is actively involved with player development and HotShots delivery

Sonaal Asthana

Sonaal is a Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach with over 6 years of on court experience. He joined the VTA team in 2020 and brings a wealth of experience from his playing days in India and excelle’s in the delivery of Hotshots. Sonaal has an infectious personality which shines through on court, he loves to interact with people and enjoys helping all players develop their game. Sonaal holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and has his sights set on being a career professional coach.

Eduardo Dominguez

Eduardo is an internationally qualified tennis coach that worked under former Wimbledon champion Manolo Santana at his club in Marbella, Spain. He has recently joined VTA bringing his experience in coaching players of all ages and levels from HotShots to competitive players, and high performance squads. His immense passion for the sport, warm and smiley personality will ensure a great atmosphere on court while improving your game and taking it to the next level.

Noah Woolridge

Noah is a Tennis Australia coach member and qualified Community Coach. He is an experienced player who has been part of VTA’s junior pathway since the age of 8. He brings enthusiasm to the court to create a fun learning environment while helping players grow to be the best tennis players they can be. Noah is currently studying Biomedical Science at Deakin University and is undertaking his Tennis Australia Junior Development Course in 2022.

Michail Petrov

Michail is an experienced and active tennis player who holds a Tennis Australia Community Coach qualification. He brings high energy to his lessons and enjoys instructing players and watching them ascend the stepping stool of achievement. Having been in many leadership positions at the prestigious Melbourne High School and harnessing 3+ years of coaching experience he brings engaging and beneficial lessons that allow a player of any level prosper and achieve excellence.
