Aussie Stars at French Openstosur

The VTA would like to congratulate Aussie No. 1 Sam Stosur for reaching the French Open Semi Finals. This performance will see her reach a career high of 18 in the world, this compliments her No. 1 doubles ranking achieved earlier this year. Sam is a great role model for young players having overcome serious illness in 2007/08 which cost her 12 months of tennis.

We wish all of the Aussie players the best of luck as they prepare for Wimbledon under the new roof (no more rain delays!).

Private Lessons

During the second week of the school holidays [July 6 - 9th] VTA head coach is offering private lessons for all students.  This is a great opportunity to keep your game up to speed either by yourself or with friends.  Cost is based around $80 / hour.  Ring Rufus on 04098 337 771 for more information or to make a booking.

Coaching Tip-Continental Grip

The Continental Grip is crucial to developing correct serve, volley and overhead technique, yet most juniors are very uncomfortable using it.
